RugbyPass Websites Terms and Conditions of Use

These RugbyPass Websites Terms and Conditions of Use are effective from 3rd November 2025. 

These RugbyPass Websites Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”) have been developed by RugbyPass Limited and apply to your use of and access to the following RugbyPass websites and platforms:  

The above websites and platforms (which shall include all sub-domains applicable to such websites and platforms) shall be referred to collectively throughout these Terms as the “Websites”.

You are encouraged to read this document carefully. If you use or access the Websites in any way, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms.

1. About RugbyPass

The Websites are owned and operated by RugbyPass Limited of 8-10 Pembroke Street Lower
Dublin 2, Ireland (“RugbyPass”). 

RugbyPass Limited is part of the World Rugby group of companies, which includes World Rugby Events DAC, World Rugby Tournaments Limited, World Rugby Limited and World Rugby. 

You can contact RugbyPass directly by email or post using the contact details contained in the Section entitled “Contacting RugbyPass” at the end of these Terms. 

2. Purpose of the Terms

These Terms apply to your use of the Websites, including use of any services, features and content (video, written and audio) made available, from time to time, by RugbyPass via the Websites. The Websites are maintained as a service to its visitors, guests, users, fans and subscribers and all use and access are subject always to these Terms.

These Terms confirm and outline:

  • The services and content made available via the Websites;
  • What you can and cannot do when using or accessing the Websites;
  • Your responsibilities and obligations when using the Websites;
  • How you can interact and engage with the Websites;
  • RugbyPass’ intellectual property rights which you must not breach;
  • How RugbyPass may use any contributions or content you submit;
  • The liability, protections and remedies of RugbyPass in relation to the Websites. 

These Terms shall cover and apply to all forms of content made available via the Websites, including articles, text, video clips, audio clips, films, documentaries, graphics, images, designs and any contributions or content generated or submitted by users. 

These Terms also cover your use of any type of interactive services (such as chats, community forums, comments, contact and comment forms, polls/voting activities, competitions, interactive games, fantasy selections, predictor games, streaming services, etc) and all other services or products that may be made available via the Websites from time to time. 

These Terms may be supplemented by additional terms and conditions regarding your use of the Websites or access to certain services, features or functions (including games, competitions and prize draws) made available via the Websites.  You are also encouraged to carefully review any such additional terms and conditions to understand how they apply to you and how they may interact with these Terms.
From time to time, RugbyPass may introduce new or additional features, tools, interactive activities or offerings via the Websites. Unless stated otherwise, these Terms shall also apply to any such new or additional features from the point they are introduced.

3. Fan Account 

You can generally visit and browse the Websites without needing to register for an account. However, in order to access certain parts of the Websites, view certain video, written and audio content or avail of certain services, functionalities or features made available via the Websites, you may be required to first register for and sign in to your World Rugby fan account. The World Rugby fan account enables individuals to interact across various World Rugby digital platforms, websites and mobile apps, including certain of the Websites. 

When creating your World Rugby fan account you will be presented with separate World Rugby fan account terms and conditions of use. Those fan account terms and conditions shall govern your use of and access to your World Rugby fan account.

You may need to be signed in to your World Rugby fan account to avail of certain features and services via the Websites – for example, predictor and fantasy games, competitions, surveys, commenting, etc. In such cases, both the World Rugby fan account terms and conditions and these RugbyPass Terms shall apply to you and you shall be required to comply with all such terms and conditions. 

You agree and acknowledge that any activities conducted under your World Rugby fan account while accessing the Websites shall be your sole responsibility and RugbyPass shall not be liable or responsible for any fraudulent use of or unauthorised access to your fan account in relation to your use of the Websites.   

4. Acceptance of Terms

If you use or access the Websites in any way, you are confirming your agreement with, understanding and acceptance of, these Terms, which are accessible via each of the Websites. You are only entitled to access and use the Websites subject always to your compliance with these Terms. You acknowledge and agree that these Terms form a legally binding and enforceable contract with you. Please ensure to read these Terms carefully prior to any use of the Websites. 

If you do not agree to and accept these Terms, you do not have permission to access the Websites and you must cease using the Websites. 

When using and/or accessing the Websites,  you confirm and undertake that you will comply with and adhere to a) these Terms, b) all applicable laws that might apply to you in any applicable jurisdiction and c) RugbyPass’ intellectual property rights (including in particular, non-infringement and no misappropriation of such intellectual property rights).

These Terms apply to your use of and access to the Websites. The purchase and/or use of additional or ancillary features, products and/or services via the Websites may be governed by separate terms and conditions relating to such services, products or activities and you should consult those terms and conditions for any queries you may have in relation to such services, products or activities. 

When using particular services or features via the Website, you may also be required to agree to additional guidelines, rules or terms applicable to such services or features. All such additional guidelines, rules or terms shall apply to you in addition to (and do not replace) these Terms.

5. Changes / Updates to the Terms 

RugbyPass reserves the right to change and/or update these Terms at any time without issuing direct notice to you. In such circumstances, we will publish the amended or updated Terms on the Websites, which, unless otherwise stated, shall become effective immediately. We may notify relevant individuals of any material changes that may impact them where we believe it is appropriate to do so. 

Visitors to the Websites are responsible for reviewing regularly the information and Terms posted on the Website in order to obtain timely notice and understanding of any changes to the Terms. Continued and/or subsequent use of the Websites by visitors or users following any such changes or updates shall constitute acceptance of the updated or modified Terms. 

Previous versions of these Terms can be obtained by contacting RugbyPass using the details in the Section entitled “Contacting RugbyPass” at the end of these Terms. 

We encourage you to check these Terms regularly in order to review the most updated version(s) of these Terms. 

6. RugbyPass Account

From time to time, in order to use or access certain services, features and/or products via the Websites, you may be required to create and register for a RugbyPass-specific account, which is specific to the Websites and different from the World Rugby fan account (referenced further above). 

For the avoidance of any doubt, your use of any specific RugbyPass account that you register or sign up for in order to access the Websites shall also be governed by these Terms and you shall comply with these Terms at all times when using or accessing any such RugbyPass account.  You agree and acknowledge that any activities conducted under any RugbyPass account, including while accessing the Websites, shall be your sole responsibility and RugbyPass shall not be liable or responsible for any fraudulent use of or unauthorised access to your RugbyPass account.

7. No Offer of Service

Unless otherwise expressly stated, the services, features and content made available via the Websites are for information purposes only. RugbyPass makes no representation that any or all material or content available via the Websites is appropriate, accurate, reliable or acceptable or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. 

All users and visitors who choose to access the Websites do so at their own risk, subject to applicable laws and such users and visitors are solely responsible for their awareness of and compliance with local laws and regulations in their own jurisdiction in relation to their use of and access to the Websites.

8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Use

Without prejudice to any other restrictions in these Terms, in relation to your access to and use of the Websites, you agree that you shall not:

  • Engage in any illegal, fraudulent or misleading conduct or activities, including the sharing of illegal, fraudulent or misleading content and/or communications or information;
  • Distribute or circulate spam or phishing communications; 
  • Seek unauthorised access to the Websites;
  • Disseminate or attempt to disseminate trojan horses, viruses, bugs, malware or any other such similar virus or software into the Websites or its servers;
  • Engage in duplicating, modifying, changing, transferring or transmitting, creating derivative works, reverse-engineering, selling, licensing, reproducing and/or exploiting in any way any materials, content or collaterals or intellectual property rights contained within or available via the Websites;
  • Post, upload, comment or share explicit or inappropriate content or material (including criminal materials, violent, obscene, hateful or offensive content). Websites users or visitors who post content are solely responsible and liable for the material they submit;  
  • Engage in any activity that infringes the intellectual property rights of RugbyPass and/or any third parties;
  • Engage in any conduct that violates, or may result in the violation of, the privacy rights of third parties, including in relation to any personal information of any such third parties;
  • Unless RugbyPass has provided you with express written consent, you shall not use the Websites, including any services, features, materials or content contained on the Websites, in relation to or for the purposes of training or developing any tools, software, AI systems, machine learning functionalities or algorithms;
  • Extract, harvest, scrape, crawl, analyse or collect data contained on or within the Websites, whether for the purposes of AI systems or otherwise. 

9. Own Non-Commercial Use

You may view, download, and print contents from the Websites strictly in accordance with the following conditions and applicable laws: (a) the content may be used solely for personal information purposes and for your own personal non-commercial private use; (b) the content may not be modified, adapted or altered in any way; c) you may not copy, store in any medium (including without limitation on any other website), modify, adapt, spider (i.e. use a computer programme to collect or aggregate material from the Website), publish, distribute by any means (including without limitation via any peer-to-peer networks, online forums or social media channels), prepare derivative works from, broadcast, communicate to the public or transmit any part of the Websites or any of the material contained in the Websites or otherwise use the content for any other purpose other than as explicitly permitted in these Terms. Any uses outside of the above shall require the express prior written permission of RugbyPass, which may be granted in its sole discretion. Without prejudice to the foregoing, the prohibitions set out in this paragraph apply, without limitation, to any audio recording or commentary, visual, video or audio-visual works or content (whether live, delayed or recorded), data, statistics, live scoring services, text commentary services, reviews, articles, trade marks, logos or photographs (or any part of any of the foregoing) that appear on the Websites.

You shall not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trade mark, logo, content or other proprietary information or content (including images, text, page layout, or form) of RugbyPass or such other proprietary information that is otherwise included within the Website. You may not use any meta tags or any other "hidden text" using RugbyPass’ name or trade marks without the express written consent of RugbyPass.

You agree to use the Websites only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Websites, RugbyPass, other users and/or any other third party. Such restriction or inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful, or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person as well as the transmission of obscene, defamatory or offensive content or disruption of normal flow of dialogue within the Websites. 

10. Intellectual Property

You acknowledge and agree that all and any collaterals, items, content and materials, and all intellectual property rights contained therein and within the Websites or, including without limitation copyrights, patents, design rights, trade secrets, know-how, confidential information rights, logos, style, look and feel, trade marks, trade names, domain names, service marks, moral rights, database rights, branding, logos, marks, designs, images, wording, texts, sounds, recordings, documents, statistics, databases, content (moving and still) and all such other materials within the Websites are exclusively owned by and/or are the exclusive property of RugbyPass and/or its licensors, or are otherwise used by RugbyPass as permitted by applicable law. Furthermore, all rights in company names, trade names, logos, products, services, packaging and designs of RugbyPass or its sponsors, licensors, licensees, suppliers, or other third-party products or services, which are included on the Website belong exclusively to RugbyPass or such third-parties, as applicable, or their respective owners, and are legally protected from reproduction, imitation, dilution or confusing or misleading uses under applicable national and international laws. 

You may not use the words "RugbyPass”, “Rugby365”, RugbyOnslaught”, “RugbyDump”, “RugbyPass App”, “RugbyPass.com”, “RugbyPass TV”, “RPTV” or any derivations thereof, or any other words or phrases (whether similar or not to the foregoing) which are registered trademarks (including currently in the process of registration) of RugbyPass,  or any RugbyPass or other proprietary graphic, design, content (including both audio clips and video clips) or trade mark or as any button or link to the Websites without express written permission from RugbyPass or the appropriate owner in each case (to be granted at their sole discretion).

The use or misuse of any such intellectual property rights, trade marks or any materials or collaterals, except as permitted herein is expressly prohibited and nothing stated or implied on the Websites confers on you any licence or right to such use or misuse under any patent, copyright work, trade mark, design or other right of a similar nature of RugbyPass or any third party.

Any infringement or breach of RugbyPass intellectual property rights shall constitute a material breach of these Terms, and RugbyPass may pursue any action they see fit, including legal action against you, to immediately cease any such breach or infringement and claim damages in the event of such an infringement, or where damages are not a suitable remedy, seek injunctive action against you.

Nothing in the Websites is designed to grant to you any licence or right under any copyright or other intellectual property rights of RugbyPass or any third party or to grant the use of any names, logos, pictures, trade marks or other works or content featured on the Websites, unless otherwise expressly stated. No act of downloading or otherwise copying or reproducing from the Website will transfer title to you to any software, content or materials on the Websites.

11. Third Party Links From the Websites

Links to third party websites on the Websites are provided solely as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave the Websites. You acknowledge and agree that RugbyPass has no responsibility for the accuracy or availability of information, material, advertising, products, content, services or other items provided by or included within third party linked websites, access to and use of which will be governed by separate terms and conditions applicable to such third party website. Links to such websites do not constitute an endorsement by RugbyPass of such third party websites or the content, products or other materials or services presented on such third party websites. 

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUGBYPASS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED BY OR IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF OR RELIANCE ON ANY SUCH CONTENT, PRODUCTS OR OTHER MATERIAL AVAILABLE ON THIRD PARTY LINKED WEBSITES. IF YOU DECIDE TO ACCESS ANY OF THE THIRD PARTY WEBSITES LINKED TO OR FROM THIS WEBSITE, YOU DO SO ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

12. Third Party Advertisers

The Website includes advertising (e.g. buttons, banners, interstitials, pop-ups or other forms of online advertising) from third parties, brands, companies and advertisers on or via the Websites. 

You acknowledge and agree that each such third party brand, partner or advertiser is responsible for its own advertisements, materials and content. RugbyPass shall not be liable or responsible for the content of any such advertisements provided by any third parties, including any misrepresentations, errors, failures, omissions or inaccuracies contained in any third party advertisements or for any engagement, interaction or reliance you may have yourself with such advertisements or with the third party brands or advertisers or their products or services.

13. Your Contributions and Content

Subject to applicable laws, if you submit any contribution to the Websites or to RugbyPass (via the Websites) (including without limitation any text, graphics, photo, video or audio), you agree that by such submission you are granting RugbyPass a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable and transferable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, broadcast, transmit, communicate to the public, perform, play, and exercise all copyright, database rights, publicity rights and other intellectual property rights with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or hereinafter developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content. You also waive irrevocably on a perpetual basis (or, where such waiver is not permitted under the laws of any jurisdiction, agree not to enforce) any moral rights or rights of paternity which may exist in your contributions. 

We do not want to receive confidential or proprietary information from you through the Websites. Please note that any information or material sent to us via the Websites will be deemed NOT to be confidential (unless expressly stated to be confidential). By sending us any information or material, you grant RugbyPass an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, perform, modify, transmit and distribute those materials or information and you also agree that RugbyPass is free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques that you send us. 

Notwithstanding the above, the privacy compliance and personal data requirements set forth in the RugbyPass Websites Privacy Statement shall still apply at all times. If you do not wish to grant such rights to RugbyPass, you should not submit any contribution to the Websites or to RugbyPass. 

By submitting a contribution via the Websites, you also warrant that such contribution (a) is your own original work and/or that you have the right to make it available to RugbyPass for all the purposes specified above, (b) is not defamatory and (c) does not infringe any law or rights (including intellectual property) of any third party.

Any content (text, video, clips, comments, etc) submitted by a user or visitor does not represent the beliefs, views, opinions or judgments of RugbyPass and RugbyPass does not endorse or support any such content submitted by users or visitors. Websites users or visitors who post content are solely responsible and liable for the material they submit. RugbyPass shall not be liable or responsible in any way for any content, materials, statements, comments or other communications made or submitted by any user or visitor on or via the Website. 

RugbyPass further reserves the right to remove any user or visitor content, comments or contributions that, in our opinion, violate these Terms, any RugbyPass editorial or community guidelines or is otherwise deemed by RugbyPass to be inappropriate.

14. Privacy / Personal Data

We are firmly committed to safeguarding your personal data and we have developed a clear reader-friendly RugbyPass Websites Privacy Statement which is made available to you via each of the Websites and which you are strongly encouraged to consult. In addition to your acceptance of these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the RugbyPass Websites Privacy Statement. 

15. Communications and E-mail Service

From time to time, RugbyPass may give you the option, via the Websites, to subscribe to any e-mail or newsletter service which will provide you with news, updates and other information. Your receipt of, and use and interaction with, all content, links, materials and information received from or via any such e-mail or newsletter service will also be subject to these Terms. 

16. Under 16s

If you are under 16, you must obtain the approval of your parents or a guardian before you:

  • E-mail the Websites or request that RugbyPass e-mail anything to you;
  • Send in any information via the Websites (including if it is via your World Rugby fan account);
  • Enter any competition or game that requires information about you or offers a prize (Note: you will still be required to review and agree to any terms and conditions applicable to any such competition or game, including in particular, the minimum age of entry);
  • Buy anything online (additional purchase terms may apply to each product or service).

By continuing to use the Websites and any of the services offered as outlined above, you are confirming that you have received the consent of your parent or a guardian. We may request at any time evidence in writing from you, or carry out and action verification activities ourselves, for the purposes of confirming that guardian or parental consent has been obtained and if we have reason to believe that such consent has not been provided, we may terminate and/or suspend your access to the Websites for the purposes outlined above. The relevant parent or guardian shall remain responsible at all times for the u16’s compliance with these Terms. 

For certain features and services made available via the Websites (e.g. online competitions), users and visitors may only be entitled to participate or subscribe if they are legally capable of forming a legally binding contract with RugbyPass (e.g. being 18yrs old or over).

17. Breach of these Terms

Any breach of these Terms or any engagement by you in fraudulent, unlawful, misleading, misrepresentative or criminal activity which relates to the Websites may, in addition to any other remedy RugbyPass may have and at the discretion of RugbyPass, result in the cancellation, suspension or termination by RugbyPass of all permissions, licences and rights granted to you under these Terms in relation to your use of and access to the Websites.  

In addition to the above, RugbyPass may also take all such necessary legal actions available to RugbyPass under law, including bringing legal action against you and/or referring you to law enforcement authorities.

18. User Indemnification

As a condition of your use of the Websites, you agree to indemnify RugbyPass, its officers, employees and agents from and against any and all liabilities, claims, damages, expenses and costs (including legal fees) which Rugbypass, its officers, employees and/or agents incur or suffer as a result of your breach of and/or failure to comply with these Terms.    

19. Disclaimer and Liability of RugbyPass

Although reasonable care is taken to ensure that the information and data on the Websites is accurate at the time of publication, unless expressly stated, information displayed on the Websites is for general information purposes only and no representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, is made as to accuracy, reliability or completeness of information or content contained on the Websites. RugbyPass shall have no liability (including any resulting damage to you or a third party) or responsibility for any information or content contained on the Websites which is incomplete, inaccurate or outdated. You acknowledge that the Websites use a high speed news and information service for publishing updates, news and other information and due to the short time span between the occurrence of an event and its reporting or publishing on the Website, it is possible that inaccuracies may be occasionally published. RugbyPass is not responsible for the content of external internet websites that link to the Websites or which are linked from them.

Subject to applicable laws, RugbyPass does not warrant that the functions, services and facilities contained or provided by the Websites will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Websites or the server that makes them available are free of viruses, bugs, spyware, malware or similar flaws or represent the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of the materials or content on the Websites.

Your use of the Websites is on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permit by law, RugbyPass does not accept any responsibility or liability for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever arising from your use of or access to the Websites or any information or material contained therein or loss of connectivity, data or profits, whether in action of contract, negligence or other tort action, arising out of or in connection with your use of or access to the Websites. This does not impact any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by RugbyPass under applicable laws. 

Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Websites is done at your own discretion and risk and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or device with which you access the Websites as well as for any loss of data that results from the download or use of any such material. You must ensure to have in place your own anti-virus software in relation to any information or materials you access, use or download via the Websites and you acknowledge that by not having such software in place, you are increasing the risks of the above incidents occurring. 

Insofar as permitted by applicable law, RugbyPass disclaims all liability for any damage and/or incidents beyond its control in relation to your access and/or use of the Websites. For the avoidance of doubt, RugbyPass does not exclude or limit liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence; (b) its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and/or (c) any liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law.

RugbyPass may, from time to time, decide to remove or discontinue the Websites or any activity, functionality, feature or activities made available via the Websites without prior to notice at RugbyPass’ sole discretion. RugbyPass shall not be liable or responsible to any user or visitor for any actions taken to suspend, stop or vary its provision or making available of any of the Websites or any services, features or content via such Websites. 

20. Security and Online Safety

If you communicate with RugbyPass or any of the Websites by e-mail or other digital means, you acknowledge and understand that the security of internet, e-mail or internet access is uncertain. By sending sensitive or confidential e-mails or communications to us, you accept the risks of such uncertainty and potential lack of confidentiality over the internet and you agree that RugbyPass shall not be responsible or liable in relation to the above. 

21. General

If any of these Terms (or part thereof) should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these Terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction which the relevant term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the applicable term shall be severed and deleted from the applicable clause and the remaining Terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
The section headings and captions to the provisions within these Terms are inserted for convenience of reference purposes only and shall not be considered a part of or affect the construction or interpretation of these Terms. 

If there is any conflict between these Terms and/or any other RugbyPass terms (not third party terms) appearing elsewhere on the Websites relating to specific material, services, features, products or functions of the Websites, the latter shall prevail.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. All disputes arising from or related to these Terms (including but not limited to any non-contractual disputes or claims) will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. Nevertheless, RugbyPass reserves the unilateral right to pursue any legal proceeding in the competent courts at the defendant's domicile.
