Jac Morgan Bio

Jac Morgan was born on 21 January 2000 in Sketty, Swansea. He took to rugby at a young age and he actually gave up a mechanical engineering apprenticeship in order to pursue professional rugby union.

Morgan developed in the Scarlets Academy and he made his debut in the Challenge Cup in 2019. He then stayed with the Welsh outfit until 2021, making 20 appearances during this time.

Upon leaving Scarlets, Jac Morgan signed for Welsh rivals Ospreys. He’s since established himself as a key member of the squad. Due to his versatility, he’s played at blindside, number eight and openside flanker.

Thanks to his performances for Ospreys, Jac Morgan made his debut for Wales in 2022. Prior to this, he’d captained his country at U20 level.

Morgan was controversially omitted from the Wales squad for his country’s 2022 tour of South Africa. However, he was recalled for the end-of-year tests and has never looked back. Today, he’s the captain of his country.

Today, Jac Morgan is widely regarded as one of the best backrowers in world rugby. His performances for club and country were rewarded in 2025, when he was named in the British and Irish Lions squad for the team’s tour of Australia. On the tour, he played in two tests as the Lions triumphed 2-1.

Still young and with the world seemingly at his feet, we can’t wait to see what else Jac Morgan can achieve in the sport.
