Bath have confirmed that Tom de Glanville is staying at Bath, the full-back having signed a two-year extension to his current deal.

A product of the Bath Rugby Academy, de Glanville has transitioned into a senior and integral member of the squad over the past seven years, making 107 appearances along the way.

The Bath-born full-back has committed for a further two seasons, taking him up to 2028, despite Exeter enquiring about his services.

One media outlet went as far to say de Glanville had agreed to join the Chiefs, as a replacement for Newcastle-bound Josh Hodge.

However, Chiefs boss Rob Baxter told RugbyPass last week that they were “unfounded rumours.”

De Glanville, whose Dad Phil captained Bath during their glory days in the 1990s, said: “This club and the special people within it have become family to me. It’s a privilege to be able to represent the Blue, Black and White at The Rec and I’ll never take it for granted.

“I’m so grateful to all the fans for the support through the tough times and the good, and that’s what makes this club so special. I can’t wait for what is to come on this journey.”

De Glanville’s time at Bath has seen some special moments, including 2025’s treble-winning season, earning his professional rugby debut, and playing on the same turf he’d watch Bath play on throughout his childhood.

Head of Rugby, Johann van Graan, commented on de Glanville’s renewal, saying: “Tom is an incredible team man and a very important player in our group. Tom is certainly one of the unsung heroes of our team and the DNA of our squad.

“Tom and his family have a history with the club and we are very grateful that the Blue, Black and White will continue to flow through his veins.”
