Of the selected group, 24 players were part of Scotland’s Rugby World Cup 2025 squad, with 21 forwards and 17 backs in total.

Well known names Lisa Thomson and Sarah Bonar are not yet available for selection as they continue their rehabilitation from a foot and back injury respectively. Three notable players return in the form of Meryl Smith, Shona Campbell and Louise McMillan. The group will once again be captained by international stalwart Rachel Malcolm.

Fukofuka has invited seven development players into the squad who have featured in this season’s Celtic Challenge competition for Glasgow Warriors.

The squad will convene at Oriam, Scotland’s national performance centre for sport, on Tuesday 31st March as preparations ramp up for the championship.

I heard a very experienced Scottish woman international say 3 months ago that Jo Yapp and Emily Scarratt would be part of a dream Scottish coaching team. That’s what England have now done. I hope Scotland go well in 6N with their new coach.
