In fairness ED, OL has hardly put 2 games together since he has come back - he played 2/4 in Autumn and was injured, came back a little earn vs Saints (was under cooked) and has then gone down with another injury.

We were never going to get 5 games from his this 6N’s.

Karl Dixon does like to let the game flow, which will be to FRA’s favour but he then loses patience quickly when sides infringe at the breakdown and he pings teams of the park when they don’t listen.

Asking the impossible of the French coaches isn’t a strong argument, or can you suggest a possible structure that would allow both players to show off their best qualities? - the laws of time, space and rugby, don’t allow it. For Jalibert to do what he does at UBB, he needs the time and space which results from the ball being passed to him straight from the ruck, if Dupont plays as he usually does, he might do all sorts of things, but not often that. Or do you want 2 balls on the pitch at once?

Playing off 10 is an Anglo Saxon obsession, your final statement needs justification to lend it credibility.

Yes, I think Montagne is better than him overall. I’d have Laclayat ahead of Bamba as well. Sipili Falatea is another who I think is good but just cannot stay healthy unfortunately. Bamba played in the third test in New Zealand off the bench was solid but since then, no call ups.
