Jon Newcombe Now back in his home county of Wiltshire after many years up in Leeds, Jon Newcombe has been writing about rugby union for a quarter of a century. He was the editor of the UK's first weekly newspaper devoted to the sport, Rugby Times, and has since built up a sizeable portfolio of freelance work working for a variety of different titles and clients, including World Rugby. A keen student of the history and stats side of the game, Jon also works in live TV in a supporting role to the production, presenting and commentary teams.
