Craig Ray Craig Ray is currently sports editor of Daily Maverick, South Africa's largest independent news source. He is a writer and broadcaster and has covered South African rugby since 1996. In print and online he has worked for various publications such as the Sunday Times, Business Day, TimesLive, the Irish Examiner and RugbyWorld UK. He has also commentated on over 50 Springbok Tests for SAFM and covered four World Cups. As an author he penned 'In Black and White, the Jake White Story,' in 2007, which is the most successful-ever South African sports book with over 220,000 copies sold. It also won the 2008 Bookseller's Choice award. In his leisure time he plays a decent game of tennis and is a tragic Radiohead and Liverpool FC fan.
