Challenge Cup round-up: Wins for Benetton and Stade Francais
Benetton are up to second in Pool B of the European Challenge Cup after a 26-7 win over Bayonne at the Stadium Comunale di Mongio. Niccolo Cannone scored a pair of tries to power Benetton to victory, while Ignacio Mendy and Onisi Ratave also crossed to help the Italians to a bonus point.
Fly-half Tomas Albornoz added two conversions and Jacob Umaga got one. Benetton are now four points adrift of group leaders Scarlets.
Stade Francais came from behind to secure a 17-7 win over Lions. Emmanuel Tshituka went over in the 14th minute and Gianni Lombard added the conversion to put Lions in front. But it fell apart in the second half as Lombard, JP Smith and Henco van Wyk were all sent to the sin bin.
Stade Francais took full advantage as a pair of penalties from Joris Segonds got them back into the contest before Laurent Panis crossed for a try. Two further penalties from Arthur Coville settled it.

This is very good news. Basic decency should trump membership of the IOC and World Rugby.
