2,35 millions : le XV de France féminin signe sa meilleure audience du Tournoi 2026

La troisième victoire du XV de France dans le Tournoi des Six Nations féminin, contre l’Irlande (26-7) samedi 25 avril à Clermont-Ferrand, est la meilleure audience enregistrée sur cette édition à la télévision.

L’affiche a rassemblé pas moins de 2,35 millions de téléspectateurs devant France 2 qui diffusait cette rencontre à 21h. Au même moment sur Canal, Bordeaux s’inclinait face à Montpellier.

Seule rencontre diffusée à 21h

C’est de loin le meilleur score des Bleues sur cette édition jusqu’à présent pour ce seul match diffusé à 21h. En effet, le premier match contre l’Italie (samedi 11 avril à 13h15), remporté par les Bleues 40-7, avait rassemblé 1,70 million de téléspectateurs, soit 19,20% de part de marché.

Une semaine plus tard, la victoire 38-7 au Pays de Galles (samedi 18 avril à 16h35) séduisait 1,46 millions de téléspectateurs sur France TV, soit 19,6% de part d’audience.

Cette fois, la bascule est claire et plus le Tournoi avance, plus les filles gagnent en popularité. « Ce match a été suivi par 2,35 millions de fans de sport soit 15,0% de PDA sur l’ensemble du public et 8,7% de PDA sur les FRDA-50 », précise le site Puremedia.

Arrivée en 3e position

Pour rappel, en 2025, les matchs du XV de France féminin avaient rassemblé en moyenne 1,8 million de téléspectateurs et le Crunch, la meilleure audience de cette édition-ci, avait été suivi par 2,1 millions de téléspectateurs en moyenne.

Bien que très suivi, le France – Irlande a néanmoins été distancé par « Meurtres en Arbois » diffusé sur France 3 (rediffusion revue par 3,32 millions de téléspectateurs) et par « The Voice » sur TF1 (3,05 millions de téléspectateurs).

Avant de défier le XV anglais le 17 mai à Bordeaux à 17h45, l’équipe de France se déplacera le 9 mai en Écosse pour un match programmé à 17h15.

All of that seems fair enough, aside from the 10 criticism: Lynagh was injured so not up for selection this year + missed most of SR, Noah went to Japan league 2, maybe an argument for bringing him back in early, but we had Carter. Dono and Meredith (who looks decent enough). Definitely not a straightforward call. Edmed was an experiment that didn’t bear fruit, I’m happy to forgive him that one though, because he did what Cheik and Rennie didn’t do, which was consistently look to develop young 10s in the face of criticism (Rennie’s chopping and changing wasn’t great for Noah, and it was back to the future too often for Cheik, which hurt our development pathways e.g. Mack Mason, Jack Maddocks, and too often gambling on people out of position—more than Joe!). Tane is one specific failed experiment. l just wish we had a more scrupulous punditry when it comes to the recent past (your obvs not in the crosshairs here, it’s the Aussie media). TBH, I worry about the identity piece: feel it should be the salt on the meal, rather than the meal. The Reds are full of Aussie identity but they play the most hairpulling rugby at times and the identity seems to excuse this, while the Brums with less talent and less of an identity in the Australian mould over perform. To be optimistic, maybe it does look a little like the Ireland transition with Les coming in a bit like Farrell, seemingly more of a emotive, man motivator type than the technician Joe. What would have been fantastic and helped everything also was for RA not to burn bridges with Lancaster and be able to get him back and have the Tahs cooking, that is one big piece of the puzzle (the Tahs) that will make our national coach’s job a lot easier.
