Le troisième ligne international de Toulouse François Cros s’est fait opérer du genou gauche, qui lui a déjà fait manquer la majeure partie du début de saison, a-t-il annoncé lundi sur ses réseaux sociaux, sans préciser la durée de son indisponibilité.

« Petite révision du genou. À très vite sur les terrains », a publié le joueur, accompagnant une photo de lui sur un lit d’hôpital, une attelle autour du genou.

François Cros, 39 sélections avec les Bleus, n’a joué que le premier match de la saison avec le Stade toulousain avant d’être écarté des terrains en raison d’un problème de cartilage au genou et d’un œdème osseux sur le tibia et le fémur, avait-il expliqué sur la radio Ici Occitanie fin octobre.

Cadre du XV de France et titulaire lors de tous les matches du Tournoi des Six Nations remportés en 2025, il n’est pas monté à Marcoussis pour préparer les matches de novembre.

Toulouse, actuellement leader du Top 14, joue son prochain match le 22 novembre à Montauban.

He may do the loop arounds coming into the line like a fullback, but he will also look to pass or run first.

Robonson had B Barrett in the playing 23 and often started him. I only think he should be there are a mentor/squad injury cover.

So more like TJP than Cane. TJP was probably the person most thought surplus to requirements from the populous.

I know Rennie wants A Savea as captain. But I think he would be more useful as a ‘Super Sub’, in 6-2 split. Let the young players tire the opposition out.

The Springboks showed that putting a player on the bench is not, necessarily, seeing a player as lesser.

I think anyone coming back from Japan is still hindered by not having competitive rugby. The point was that it won’t be because of age and that he’d do the same thing for Rennie that Razor wanted Whitelock to stick around for.

The Chiefs and especially McKenzie played outstanding in that semifinal.

A non-weather effected final e.g. at an indoor stadium would’ve been a lot closer. Assume the game would still be a Hurricane home game, but in that indoor stadium.

8 is more than Dupont if i’m not mistaken (being a draw with the final to come), that’s why I put Couilloud (but yeah, i did hesitate to put him, but he’s one of the best player at Lyon, and him being out of the field is probably why Lyon is so bad in the classement.

When i said destroyed i did not mean by playing better. I mean some random player from a “really weaker nation” going to his head, or knee in what seems to be a contract placed by “better” teams we will encounter a bit later, with a Dupont injured. Like you know, during the World Cup where nothing was prepared to face both Dupont and NTK injuries. Galthié was even in tears about NTK not being there (so great for MJ's self-confidence…). Let’s not lie, Galthié really want his “Dupont NTK”. Like, always. French gameplan seems to be really dependant on that. It need to change. We must turn our gameplan to be about our best available players at the time. Not just “Dupont NTK” always ad nauseum, even when it’s not the best or when they are litteraly NOT AVAILABLE (man, Galthié made Dupont played before a facial fracture had time to heal, like seriously ?). + NTK ain't that good without Dupont doing everything for him, during the season NTK was really… transparent while playing with Graou or Saito, who are playing real 9, while Dupont is playing 9 AND 10, leaving NTK to “shine” as a 2nd 12. We have a lot of international 9 and two 10 (3 with Ramos ?). Let’s use them, and not to play as “Dupont NTK” because they are not them. We need to adapt to every situation.

Don't be naive, the system for french soccer between clubs and union is exactly the same than for rugby. Clubs déveloping players is for them first and not for FFF…

In fact they are developing players for a lot of other countries. In 2022 more than 60 players in WC were born in France, only 22 were in the french side. Today, I don't have the numbers, but I am pretty sure that, with 48 teams, there are a lot more than 60.

That’s one of the big problems with the NZRU. If they overpay for a player, they feel the need to play them in the All Blacks, rather than admit they make a mistake.

Hansens not a selector, and hasn’t taken on any legitimate role, or are you confusing Henry’s eras?

What are we talking about Dmac for? Mounga was dropped by Foster, Cruden by .. probably Foster again, because at that point Hansen had probably largely checked out.

That’s a fair point to make, I think that NZR panicked because everyone was telling them the country doesn’t have good tens, so they gave Beauden too good a deal for him to want to get out of now.

I was very happy with Dmac at that point, he looked good taking over before the WC. It’s a scary position to be in when the likes of Perofeta would be next in line but I think even making Jordi a 10 then would have been a much higher iq play from NZR. Sign Beaudie for a single season, sure.

By the accounts of players, Japan Rugby League One is between NPC and Super Rugby in intensity. Maybe it’s gotten better in the last few years?

Test rugby is good step up from Super Rugby. We’ll see how Lienert-Brown goes.

Sure that “ converting fijians into french players “ is not the best solution. But what about converting NZ or Australian into irish players ? Or Fijians, Samoans, Tongans… into NZ players ? I think for this point, except maybe South Africa, everybody should shut up….
