Coupe du Monde de Rugby Féminine : quels seront les matchs sur TF1 et sur France TV

Londres, le 14 mai 2025 : présentation du nouveau trophée de la Coupe du monde de rugby féminin lors d’un événement marquant les 100 jours avant le début du tournoi, au Battersea Power Station. (Photo : John Phillips / World Rugby via Getty Images)

Changement de grille de programme pour la Coupe du Monde de Rugby féminine 2025 : France TV diffusera également des matchs du mondial féminin, en plus de TF1. Les 32 matchs de la compétition – du 22 août au 27 septembre – ne seront donc plus diffusés en exclusivité sur les antennes du groupe TF1, notamment sur la plateforme TF1+.

« Nous sommes ravis que le groupe France Télévisions s’associe à la diffusion de ces deux compétitions sportives. Grâce à cet accord de sous-licence, ces deux évènements bénéficieront d’une promotion et d’une exposition encore plus importante auprès du public français », a indiqué Julien Millereux, directeur des Sports du groupe TF1.

Si le groupe TF1 proposera la majorité des rencontres (20) ainsi que les plus belles affiches du mondial, France TV misera également sur le beau jeu.

Keven Mealamu is certainly no yes man. Was held in huge esteem by his peers and coaches for holding all players to account for their actions and keeping them in line. Makes perfect sense that he would be part of panel if current players were being asked about environment. Mealamu is also a NZR Board member.

When will the NZRFU realize there decades long money grabing arrogance and outright disrespect for its own countrymen is there true failing, its association with Sky sport has taken the game away from the very people they need now, the children who often don’t come from privileged homes,the children who can’t go to pubs etc,the children who unlike previous generations no longer get to sit up at 4 in the morning with there family’s,fathers grandfather's, uncles, family friends, mothers and sisters etc Those days are gone. You may also blame the NZ Government for allowing a government funded sporting body for taking our national sport from US,and monyterising what was originally meant for promoting the health and fitness of our children. Well along with many of our other sports now ransomed by Sky Sport I fear it’s to late to fix and our future all blacks will be playing video games instead. To blame a single coach for a decades long destruction of our potential player pool is ludicrous, if you give a farmer 200 acres of concrete and blame him for losing his live stock you would probably be the NZRFU you are 20 mins from full time and 15 points down NZ rugby it’s time to dig in, time to change your game plan and get the game back out to the All Black’s that count there only 5yos but they will watch and want to play if you let them see our magnificent game. I’m 65 years old, I remember listening to games on the radio watching them in black and white then colour I remember the family unity a test match bought to our homes I remember aching for Saturdays with my mates dreaming of being a star but most of all I remember being match fit, I've seen it all and I know as a certainty that big business is a plague to sport …change the board not coaches.

Ford is the master of the spiral bomb and I have seen many quality full backs being made to look like the drunk guy at Friday night half time shows trying to field them.

They are very subtle, it’s probably the highest kick he does in games but he talks through the video and then watch how much it moves as the ball comes back down to the ground. Once you have set your feet to catch, it can move 4 or 5 m in that final decent. A very clever weapon, especially on free kicks with the 3x7s chasing you down.

Yes agree for sure. He lost the public and left us all scratching our heads about the problem let alone the solution. But some of the criticism (not yours) coming out now is way OTT - subjective value judgment stuff devoid of robust analysis of actual performance. A recent article in another publication that will remain nameless gives a blow by blow scathing account of Robertson’s public communication failures and lack of experience. This is not the place to comment on it save to say it comes across as way too personal for a professional journalist. Thankfully you don’t get that sort of shite in this column! Well not in the article anyway 😂

It’s highly likely you will see the AB’s go 6|2 bench.

Front 5 is stable, and I suspect you will have 5 back row in the squad of 23, so they will need to work out their starting and finishing preference (Papali’i & Kirifi would add a lot of energy in those final 30 mins to maintain the defensive intensity).

Yep. It has certainly ‘opened up’ in the sense that other coaches took note of what the ABs were doing during their mythical streak and attempted to emulate it. (As, ironically, are the Kiwis today!) IMO the ones who did it best were those who stuck to their DNA - assuming it is worthy - and added. Best example I can think of is Tony Ball. Marrying almost mechanical power to expansive flair. Kind of like the Frogs at their modern best. They have the forward power & they blend it with their explosive backs, but lack the consistency…I’d call it the Gallic sensibility. (The Boks have inherited the anglo-saxon all-for-one-one-for-all approach; and they voice that consistent reference to ‘Team’.)

There is a coach called Dave Allred who brought this back in vogue in England.

Dave went to the NFL as a kicking coach, came back and was a coach at Bristol (just before professionalism) in the mid 1990’s, he then worked with ENG on kicking performance and made place kicking a bit of a science with Jonny Wilkinson et all.

Yes that would be a smart play by JJ and as part of the team this term he can influence the direction of travel as well as bring his brand too. The Mitchell experience in the early 2000’s should be a lesson for him also. I just hope he is there somewhere because the team is going to need really strong leadership to recover from all of this.

JJ will want the job but will also know the short term comes with a lot of pressures whereas if they say it’s him from 2028, it would likely be worth waiting for and he will also be on the inside of a world class coaching structure.
