  • FULL TIME - The final whistle sounds in Cape Town!  The Rebels challenged strongly in the second half to drag themselves back into the contest but ultimately the damage was done in the first half and a late try capped off an all-round performance from the home side.  After three losses on the bounce, the Stormers have returned to the winners' list with a 34-18 victory over the Rebels.
    '
  • The Stormers add some icing to the cake with a try after the final siren!  Slick hands down the right hand touch line has the Rebels' defence in disarray - it is JJ Engelbrecht who slices through the line and the winger straightens before scoring his second try of the match.

  • After a review of the tape, the end result is a penalty to the Rebels against JJ Engelbrecht  for a neck roll - the visitors cannot win from here but a losing bonus point is still up for grabs.
    80''
  • We have a lengthy delay here whilst the TMO reviews a couple of potential foul play incidents.
    80''
  • We are inside the last minute and time is virtually up for the Rebels but the visitors will be well pleased with their endeavour since half time.
    80''
  • An outstanding reward for the Rebels!  A succession of pick and drives from the Rebels draws in the Stormers' defence before the visitors fling the ball out to the right where Sefa Naivalu is once again unmarked and the winger crosses for his second try of this second half.
    78''
  • MISS! Jack Debreczeni hooks his conversion attempt out to the left which could be very costly - the two points there would have closed the gap back to a converted try.

    76''
  • The Rebels, through 13 phases now, have edged their way within 5m of the Stormers' line - it is now or never for the men from Melbourne!
    75''
  • Penalty to the Rebels who, through Jack Debreczeni, take the quick tap to try and catch the Stormers' on the back foot - the visitors would love a score from this attacking foray to set up a thrilling finish!
    74''
  • This time Reece Hodge finds the touch line and the Rebels will set up for the lineout throw right on the Stormers' 22m line.
    72''
  • The Rebels do well to recycle the ball through 8 phases however they are struggling to gain much territory against some very disciplined defence from the Stormers.
    71''
  • The Rebels win a penalty at scrum time however it comes to nought with Reece Hodge unable to find the line with his kick for touch.
    69''
  • We have a break in play whilst Damian Willemse receives treatment in the middle of the field.
    68''
  • The skies have darkened in Cape Town with rain threatening to fall.
    66''
  • The Rebels have lifted their intensity in this second half but they need to make it count on the scoreboard soon if they are to have any chance of overhauling the Stormers.
    64''
  • This time it is the Stormers coughing up possession at line out time with the throw not in straight.
    63''
  • A terrific kick for touch from Reece Hodge puts the Rebels in the box seat however Chris van Zyl climbs high at the subsequent line out to win possession back for the home side.
    62''
  • MISS! A chance for Jack Debreczeni to drag the Rebels closer but he has sprayed his penalty goal attempt well out to the right hand side.
    61''
  • PENALTY GOAL! Stormers (Damian Willemse) 27-13 Stormers
    59''
  • So close for the Stormers!  With the try line at his mercy, all that Sikhumbuzo Notshe has to do is gather cleanly but he spills the pass and a certain scoring opportunity is lost.
    57''
  • The Rebels cross for their first try of the match!  Terrific patience from the visitors who recycle possession through 18 phases to draw in the Stormers' defence before heading out to the unmarked Sefa Naivalu on the right and the winger crosses.

  • Some rare possession for the Rebels but even then, in the face of some aggressive defence from the Stormers, the visitors have been forced to give up valuable metres.
    51''
  • MISS!  Damian Willemse has been slotting them from everywhere this afternoon however on this occasion, from point blank range, he has pushed his kick out to the right.
    49''
  • The penalties continue to mount up against the Rebels - the signs are not good here for the visitors early in the second half with the Stormers completely dominant all over the park.
    48''
  • The Stormers have the first points of the second half!  The grubber kick from Dewaldt Duvenage looks as though it's headed for the dead ball line however a flying Dillyn Leyds manages to touch down a fraction inside the paint.

  • The Stormers continue their dominance at scrum time and are awarded a free kick - they elect to press home their advantage by electing to pack down once again.
    43''
  • Penalty to the Stormers and, with the quick tap, Dewaldt Duvenage kicks for territory deep inside the Rebels' 22 - Reece Hodge collects the ball for the visitors but has little option to run the ball into touch.
    41''
  • SECOND HALF - The Rebels kick off to get the second half underway in Cape Town.
    40''
  • HALF TIME - The half time whistle blows in Cape Town.  The Rebels started brightly enough with a couple of early penalty goals but from that point onwards it was all the Stormers - the home side ran in two tries and, but for some missed opportunities, their lead could have been much greater.  As it stands, the Stormers head to the rooms with a 17-6 lead over the Rebels.
    '
  • The Rebels literally throw away a promising attacking opportunity with Anaru Rangi's throw to the line out not in straight.
    40'''
  • Penalty to the Rebels - with time almost up on the clock, there will be just enough time for the visitors to try and close the gap before half time.
    40''
  • The Stormers' forward pack has been completely dominant at scrum time and, on the back of a free kick, they show no hesitation in electing to pack down once again in excellent field position.
    38''
  • A crucial five or so minutes coming up in the lead up to half time - the Stormers have the Rebels on the rack and another score here could just about break the visitors' back in the shadows of half time.
    36''
  • On the back of a massive scrum, the Stormers turn the ball over before Damian Willemse floats a delightful pass out to the left - Pieter-Steph du Toit is all but over but he unselfishly hands off to JJ Engelbrecht to make sure of the five points.

  • The stats are showing that the Stormers are well in control in this first half with 62% of both possession and territory.
    32''
  • NO TRY! EW Viljoen crosses to score however a review of the tape shows that Reece Hodge was obstructed in the lead up by Damian de Allende - a penalty advantage was being played to the Stormers in any case.
    29''
  • A chance here for the Stormers to really turn the screws - the home side have a line out just 5m out from the Rebels' line.
    28''
  • Huge pressure here on the Rebels who are in possession but pinned down deep inside their own 22 - Michael Ruru comes up with a well-executed box kick into touch to relieve for the visitors.
    26''
  • Some ill discipline from Lopeti Timani who barges into the breakdown with a dangerous shoulder charge - as a result, after a TMO review, the flanker has conceded a penalty to the home side.
    24''
  • Referee Ben O'Keeffe gets caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and cops the ball in his face - he blows up the play with the scrum feed awarded to the Rebels who were in possession.
    24''
  • A solid attacking position here for the Rebels who, on the back of a penalty against the Stormers for obstruction, will set up for a line out deep in attacking territory.
    22''
  • MISS! A chance for Damian Willemse to add to his tally and extend the Stormers' lead further however his penalty goal attempt has missed narrowly.
    21''
  • The Stormers are in for the first try of the match!  A brilliant solo effort from Damian Willemse - the fly half busts through the tackle with tremendous strength and then uses his momentum to slice through the defence on his way to the try line.

    6''
  • The first penalty of the match is awarded to the Rebels - it goes against Steven Kitshoff for not supporting his body weight at the breakdown.
    3''
  • The Stormers are awarded the first scrum feed of the match - the two sets of forwards will pack down virtually right on the half way line.
    3''
  • It is dry overhead at the moment however some steady rain in the lead up to this match will make conditions slippery for both sides.
    1''
  • FIRST HALF - The Stormers kick off and we are underway in the first half!
    1''
  • The Rebels are in a similar boat coming into this clash on the back of three losses in a row.  Whilst their cause has not been helped by some injuries to key players, the team from Melbourne will be desperate to recapture some of their excellent early season form and return to the winners' list this evening.
    '
  • This is a must win match for the Stormers - the men from Cape Town come into this fixture having lost three matches on the bounce.  The good news is that the losses all were on the road and this evening they're back on home turf where they have proved to be much more formidable.
    '
  • Welcome to Newlands in Cape Town for the Week 11 clash between the Stormers and the Rebels.
