Although the sport of rugby union is not normally associated with the Americas, the Canada Rugby team are widely considered to be a successful tier two side. They’ve appeared in every edition of the Rugby World Cup since the tournament was founded in 1987 and they reached the quarter-final stage of the competition in 1991.
