Chips Blanch

Chips Blanch
Despite being told from an early age that he would always end up a prop, Chips spent his formative years playing every other position in the forward pack, and even did a few extras here and there to try and stave off the inevitable. He was 16 when his coach told him the jig was up, so he wiped away his tears, tightened up that sphincter, and packed down at tighthead where he has spent the last 15 odd years. Playing lower grades for his club Wests in Brisbane, he has been heard to say that he will only retire when they stop the player discount at the local physio.

You can hear Chips and his good mate Jaybor Staunton talk all things Aus rugby on their weekly soapbox... I mean podcast - Pillar to Post
